Jumping Jack Tamp
Style # 050-0200
BT60/4 Although it weighs 10 percent less than other BOMAG four-cycle models, the BT60/4 isn’t light on the job.
TOUGH FOR A LIGHTWEIGHT A 3.3-horsepower, four-cycle Honda GX100 engine powers the tamper to a maximum travel speed of 66 feet per minute as it knocks out 540 to 708 impacts per minute. The 137-pound unit delivers up to 3,037 pounds of impact force to a compaction depth of 21.6 inches.
REALLY, IT’S A FOUR-CYCLE Although the BT60/4 boasts the convenience and emission standards that come with four-cycle technology, it maintains the high stroke and impact force of a two-cycle model. The specially designed Honda engine also allows the tamper to be transported in a horizontal position without concern for oil contamination of the cylinder, muffler, carburetor or air filter.
IT WORKS HARD, NOT YOU The well-balanced design of the BT60/4 ensures operator safety and comfort. With a protected, integrated air intake and low center of gravity, the BT60/4 requires little effort to guide – working hard so you don’t have to. The high- strength honeycomb polyethylene tamping foot is constructed to absorb shock, which ensures stability and smooth operation. Furthermore, the patented anti-vibration handle reduces the amount of vibration transferred to the operator, increasing the number of hours the tamper may be safely used by one person.
Standard shoe is 11'' with 6'' shoe optional.
Ideal for utility applications, such as laying cable and installing underground sprinkler systems, the 14-inch-long extensions use the same bolt pattern as factory-installed shoes for simple field replacement.
The size, strength and adaptability of the BT60/4 make it ready for any job. Don’t worry. BOMAG can take care of itself.
